Stylish Blog Award

Hi everyone its Friday! Wish I could say I am excited about it but I have been so sick. So please forgive me if I say something crazy. I am pumped full of cold medicine and have a constant dull ache through my whole body. But this really made my day. It is NN's first award! WooHoo! NN was awarded the Stylish Blog Award by a very dear friend. Thank you Zee Monodee. Please be sure to stop by Zee's blog and read her Stylish Blog Award post. You will find out seven things about her you didn't know. So here we go seven things about me you probably didn't know.

1. I am a very proud Army mom. My oldest joined the Army right out of High School. He is now in intelligence and is a very dedicated soldier. I am a big supporter of our troops. They sacrifice so much for our freedom and I want to say thing you to them for everything they do to keep us safe.

2. I might be a little OCD. Okay a lot OCD. LOL! I want things done in a certain way and if you don't do them that way I will probably go and do them again. Sad but true. I am highly organized and get really upset if someone moves anything on my desk or has been on my computer. That is just a big no no in my book.

3. I run NN, have my own crit group I run and a word count group as well. Yeah, I stay really busy and I love it. It keeps me on my toes.

4. I prefer cats to dogs. I don't have anything against dogs but I would rather have a cat. I think it is the independence of a cat that I like. They say you don't own a cat they own you. LOL!

5. I am a Blackberry junky. I have my Blackberry in hand 24/7. Wonder how I return your emails so fast? Well now you know. My hubby says one day he is going to take it and toss it over our balcony. Yeah right! He knows better than that. It would be the worst fight we would ever have. You can do a lot of things but don't touch my Blackberry!

6. I have also become a Kindle addict. Yep I swore that I would never read on an ereader but I won one in a contest and have been obsessed with the damned thing ever sense. It is  a wonderful little gadget. If you have been contemplating getting one I recommend you do. I love that I can keep all my books. I read about four books a week and I was having to get rid of my books. Now that is a thing of the past. I have all my books ready if I decide I want to read them again.

7. Well I have to admit I love to play Rock Band with the kids and hubby. I started out the kids begged me to sing and I finally gave in. Needless to say I have been hooked ever sense. Now I'm not saying I can sing but I do pretty good on the game. LOL! Guess I am a closet Rock Star.

So those are the seven things about me. Hope you enjoyed them. Now I am off to award the Stylish Blog Award to 10 lucky people.

Happy Reading and Writing,
Tabitha Blake

Hey! I never got my invitation to the word count list. I just figured we weren't doing it anymore lol. Is there still room? I'm planning on finishing the rough draft of my newest novel by june 30th if not before. Let me know!

# 5 and 6 are just like me lol. My fiance gets sooo mad at me because it's always in my hand. If it's not right next to me I seriously start like freaking. I have 5 different email account on it that I use regularly lol. as for #6, i'm addicted to my kindle but still prefer to hold a real book in my hand and as such ever book I buy in my kindle that is available through borders, amazon, or bn in print I buy also lol. I do love the convenience of being able to load a bajillion books onto the kindle and go on a road trip because then i don't have to choose between two or 3 books, I can bring a whole bunch lol. I also find that while i do read 3 or 4 books a week on average if I have time, on my kindle I read faster than that, I just try not to read more than that a week or my fiance will feel neglected and I won't ever get anything else done lol.

I know its crazy but I am truly a Blackberry and Kindle addict. I am lost without them. LOL! At least it is nice to know I'm not the only one. The hubby hates it. He say I always have my phone in my face.

Way to go Tabby!
I've been sick too - actually, pretty much my entire family has been and a couple have traded it back again. Ick! Mariah kicked it all off after a birthday party that the honoree's wife was sick for. It spreads like wildfire.
I had no idea you were a closet rock star - I like that about you. *grin*

Hi Tabby! A hearty congratulations for the stylish blogger award! That Zee sure has some good taste (heard she was a very nice person too). I hope you (and Penny) get well soon. It's a total drag to be down with the cold from hell. I'm a troop supporter too and pray for the safe return of each of them. Way to go on the award!

Sorry to hear you have been sick Penny. This stuff really sucks and hangs around forever. I have been sick for almost a week. Yeah thats me the closet rock star. LOL! I must have been one in a past life. Because God knows I can't sing in this life. LOL!

Thanks Sherri! Zee is a wonderful and very sweet person. I hope I kick this cold soon too. I am a big supporter of the troops. My son will be deployed in June to Afghanistan and I am a nervous wreck. But I know with lots of prayers we will get him back safe and sound. I pray nightly for the soldiers and their families. It is tough being a military family.

Super congratulations!!

And condolences on the cold - I'm suffering through it also - I've never had a cold that made my entire body ache so much.

Great post, Tabby! Was good to find out these little things about you.

I'm completely OCD too! I will most probably go behind the person and do whatever he/she did again, just to be sure it is done 'my way'. That's why I have a hard time dealing with stuff - sometimes I just give up and don't bother (like with exercise!). Funny about OCD on the computer too - hubby and I shared a laptop for a couple of months and he went out and got himself a new Notebook because he just couldn't take it. :)
