Spring is here. Get Writing!

I'm am so glad that spring is finally here, and that nasty snow has finally melted away. You see here, in the Great White North, the snow stayed until the end of April. With this delightfully mild weather brings with it a nice refreshing sense of inspiration.

There are some great writing events, workshops, and opportunities for the willing writer.

June 28- July 1, 2011- RWA 31st Annual Conference. For all you romance writers out there if you can make it to this conference, do. With keynote speakers, 2,100 published and aspiring authors, publishers, agents and editors, it's a great place to network and learn a few things about the craft. And hey, who doesn't want to hang out in Times Square, New York!

The folks over at Savvy Authors always have workshops on the go. Many of these are a reasonable cost. Usually $10-$15. There are even 6 month and 12 month courses called Savvy U, that can cost you as little as $25 a month. Now I don't know about you, but my college education was slightly more per month. Click on the workshop tab and discover fro yourself.

They also have opportunities to pitch your book, special events (boot camps), and contests. Although at the moment they do not have any.

If you know of any contests, or special writing events, please email me and I'd be happy to put them up for you.
