Duckie's Anzac Cookies







Ingredients


2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
2 cups flaked coconut
2 cups chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter
1/3 cup golden syrup
1/4 cup hot water
2 tsp baking soda

How To



  1. In  an extra-large bowl, combine flour, sugar, oats, coconut, walnuts, and salt; set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, combine butter and golden syrup; bring to boiling. In a small bowl, stir together hot water and baking soda; immediately add to boiling butter mixture. Pour the hot mixture into the flour mixture; stir until well mixed.
  3. Shape dough into 1/2 inch balls. Place 2" apart on lined cookie sheet. Flatten with palm of hand.
  4. Bake for 12 mins at 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Cool for 2 mins and enjoy!

This recipe yields several dozen cookies. You can store them in the fridge for 3 days or freezer for 3 months.
