When your characters fight for equal time.

With so many commitments it's easy to be overwhelmed with deadlines, e-mails, blogs and stories you're writing. I'm working on two stories right now and usually have no problem staying on track. Until my characters start to fight. Then it's the one screaming the loudest, in my head, that gets my attention.

Since I write Romantic Suspense they do get a little loud and dramatic and there are times I would love to put all of them in timeout. See, If I'm stuck on a scene, I sleep on it. I usually wake up with a solution unless my characters fight for my attention, then I wake up tired with so many jumbled thoughts that I have to sit and scramble to get everything down before they're forgotten.

Then I learned to write faster. Why fight with a character that wants to get their story out.
I decided to get smart, and organized.
Now If I could just get them to be quiet and wait their turn.
They did manage to play nice long enough for me to get my story finished.
